The Leadership Development Centre (LDC) is the Public Service's very own centre of excellence for leadership development.
LDC operates as a shared service for Public Service leaders and has an in-depth understanding of the leadership challenges facing the Public Service.
It is led by some of the State Services' most experienced and knowledgeable leaders and is underpinned by the joint objectives of the State Services Commissioner and State Services chief executives.
One of its key areas of focus is to develop existing leaders and identify the next generation of leaders within the Public Service.
LDC services include:
best practice guidance,
access to tools for talent spotting,
leadership development planning and implementation,
customised programmes for identified leaders,
information on experts in the field and accredited coaches,
facilitators and mentors, and
information on the latest research on what works.
Get in touch to find out how LDC services can help Public Service leaders better deliver on government priorities. Visit the LDC website to learn more about succession planning and whole-of-system senior leader development at ldc.govt.nz.
