Review into how agencies handled complaints of inappropriate behaviour
The State Services Commission undertook a review into how the Ministry of Justice and Department of Corrections handled complaints of inappropriate workplace behaviour in 2016. The Commissioner has accepted all of the recommendations.
A State Services Commission investigation into the use of external security consultants by government agencies has uncovered failings across the public service, including breaches of the code of conduct. The Commission paid the Inquirers $350,000 to conduct the nine month investigation.
However, in this case other documents have been withheld because they could pre-empt the findings of the Beattie Varley review currently running. These documents will be proactively released when the Beattie Varley review findings are announced.
