The Leadership and Talent team is giving effect to the Leadership Strategy for the State Services, which is available on our website. This was first published in November 2013 following amendments to the State Sector Act 1988.
The State Services Commissioner now has statutory responsibility for putting strategies in place that develop senior leadership and management capability in the public service.
The Leadership Strategy sets out:
the challenges facing the State Services workforce,
the vision for a trusted, engaged and high performing State Services, and
the approach by which we will both grow the leaders the system requires and help people to create rewarding careers.
