Note: This paper was originally released in April 2010. Subsequently an error was discovered. The Minister of State Services directed the State Services Commission to correct the error.

  • The bullet in the executive summary reads: "The size of core government administration is forecast to reduce by a further 460 FTE positions in the year to 31 December 2010 to 36,919 FTE positions." It should read: "The size of core government administration is forecast to reduce by a further 470 FTE positions by 31 December 2011 to 36,909 FTE positions".
  • The second sentence in paragraph 10 reads: "Core government administration is forecast to reduce by 460 to 36,919 FTE positions in the year to 31 December 2010." It should read: "Core government administration is forecast to reduce by 470 to 36,909 FTE positions by 31 December 2011".
