Overall Service Quality Trend

Kiwis Count measures New Zealanders' satisfaction with 42 commonly used public services. Individual services have Service Quality Scores (SQS) calculated and an overall SQS across all services is then derived from them.

The results present an overall positive picture. Satisfaction with public services continues to steadily improve.

In the June 2015 year, overall satisfaction has increased one point to 74. This is a six point increase from 68 in 2007. If we compare this to Canada over a similar period, New Zealand's rate of improvement is higher than that of Canada's where overall satisfaction has increased two points from 72 in 2008 to 74 in 2014.
